This policy allows proportionate verification to protect customers, Whizbiz and payment partners from fraud and abuse.
1. When verification may occur
- High-value or unusual order patterns
- Material mismatch between order and payment information
- Multiple failed payment attempts
- Suspicious delivery-address changes
- Known fraud indicators or chargeback patterns
- Legal/sanctions or payment-provider requirements where applicable
2. Proportionality
We will request only information reasonably necessary for the verification purpose and should prefer lower-intrusion methods where they can achieve the same result. Verification must not be used as a pretext for discriminatory treatment.
3. Order holds and cancellations
A suspicious order may be temporarily held while reasonable checks are completed. If we cannot verify an order or believe fulfilment would create material fraud/legal risk, we may cancel it and handle payment reversal/refund as appropriate. We may limit disclosure of fraud-detection details where doing so would undermine security or another person’s rights.
